Crosby - Flyers CROSBY HAS BIG NIGHT
As anticipated it was a big night for Sidney Crosby. Crosby took home his second Hart Trophy of his career and won his second straight Ted Lindsay Award (3rd of career), presented to the leagues Most Outstanding Player, as voted by members of the NHLPA.
Crosby becomes just the sixth player in NHL history to win the Ted Lindsay Award at least three times.
Crosby who led the league in scoring with 104 points, joins Mario Lemieux as the only Penguin to win the Hart Trophy multiple times.
Olli Maatta finished 5th in Calder Trophy Voting, while Matt Niskanen finished 11th in Norris Trophy Voting. Marc Andre Fleury did not receive any votes for the Vezina Trophy.
Former Penguins coach Dan Bylsma was 11th in voting for the Jack Adams Award which went to Colorado’s Patrick Roy.
