Insider Only Source: Zigomanis four to six weeks ahead of schedule

Zigomanis to begin contact drills in 4 weeks?

A source close to Zigomanis who told me in December that it was recommended that Zigomanis needed surgery on his right shoulder, has informed me that Zigomanis is four to six weeks ahead of schedule. The initial diagnosis had Zigomanis out for 5-6 months.
Zigomanis who under-went surgery on January 14th was first injured on December 3rd but surgery was held off because the injury was not as severe as the shoulder injury Sergei Gonchar suffered.
My source tells me Zigomanis will be cleared for contact drills in about 3-4 weeks and if it all goes well like it is expected, Zigomanis will be elgible to return to the lineup near the middle/end of the second round.
Zigomanis led the Penguins with a 62.9 winning faceoff percentage at the time of his injury.
