Ben Roethlisberger threw for 243 yards and had 1 passing touchdown and 1 rushing touchdown as the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinatti Bengals 27 – 10 Thursday night at Heinz Field. After throwing eight interceptions in three games, Roethlisberger has played mistake free football the past two games and has thrown for a combined 551 yards in his last 8 quarters of football. Most importantly Roethlisberger how thrown 0 interceptions in that span and Roethlisberger has the Steelers at 8-3 and with their eye on a first round bye.
Offensively the Steelers answered the call and Roethlisberger’s top target tonight was Santonio Holmes who caught 5 receptions for 84 yards. Holmes who was primed for a 100 yard receiving game, suffered a concussion in the third quarter and did not return to the game. Running back Willie Parker also left the game in the third quarter with what is being described as a tweaked knee. Parker gained 37 yards on 14 carries and Mewelde Moore was impressive in place of Parker. Moore rushed for 56 yards and had 41 yards receiving.

Steelers defense continues dominant play: The Steelers defense was on top of their game once again. The Steelers held the Bengals to 40 yards rushing. Linebacker James Farrior led the way with 11 tackles and Troy Polamalu recorded 6 tackles and had 1 interception. LaMarr Woodley who has a friendly competition going with James Harrison had the Steelers only sack pushing his total to 10.5 sacks on the season. Woodley is 1.5 sacks behind James Harrison for the team lead.
