The Pittsburgh Steelers and Casey Hampton have agreed to a new three year contract, a source close to Hampton has confirmed this morning.
Hampton will receive $11 million in guaranteed money, KDKA sports is reporting. It has been confirmed that the deal is three years worth $21.3 million.
A source close to Hampton tells me the Steelers will officially announce the deal after 10:00 a.m. this morning.
Updated: 10:30 a.m. – The Pittsburgh Steelers have just officially announced the signing with Steelers President Art Rooney II making a short statement.
“We are pleased to know that Casey Hampton will be a member of our team for years to come,” said Steelers President Art Rooney II. “Casey has been an important member of our club for nearly a decade, and we hope that this contract will allow him to finish his career as a Pittsburgh Steeler.”
