The Pittsburgh Steelers and cornerback Cortez Allen have reached an agreement on a four year deal worth $26 million. The deal was negotiated by agent Scott Smith of XAM Sports. The two sides beat Sunday’s deadline as the Steelers team policy is to not discuss contract extensions during the season. Allen is now under contract through the 2018 season.
Allen is the fourth Steelers player to be extended this summer, previous ones being Maurkice Pouncey, Shaun Suisham and Marcus Gilbert.

Allen has emerged as the Steelers No. 1 receiver but by default due to the lack of quality players at the position.
