In the countdown to 53, Charlie Batch roster spot is safe, Punter Jeremy Kapino’s has been let go, and the Steelers, as expected, will go with 4 wide receivers.
Among the notable cuts rolling in for the Steelers in the past hour is Kapinos, offensive linemen Trai Essex, Chris Scott, quarterback Jerrod Johnson, safety Damon Cromartie-Smith and wide receivers David Gilreath, Derrick Williams and Tony Clemons.
The full list of 21 players cut today:
Punter Jeremy Kapinos, Defensive backs Damon Cromartie-Smith, Terrence Frederick and Josh Victorian, linebackers Brandon Hicks and Marshall McFadden, defensive linemen Corbin Bryant, Igbinosun Ikponmwosa and Jake Stoller, quarterback Jerrod Johnson, running back DuJuan Harris, wide receivers Tyler Beiler, Toney Clemons, David Gilreath, Marquis Maze and Derrick Williams, and offensive linemen Trai Essex, Ryan Lee, John Malecki and Chris Scott.
Notes: Sean Spence has been placed on injured reserve
