The Pittsburgh Steelers and Troy Polamalu have been mum all week regarding Polamalu’s rib injury

The team though is expecting Polamalu to play and start vs the Bengals. He is listed as probable for Sunday’s game
Elsewhere on the injury front, James Farrior will give it a go on Sunday after being sidelined with a calf injury. Farrior will be worked into the rotation with Larry Foote. The Steelers have been very pleased with Foote’s play and some of the coaching staff is said to view Foote as the better player than the 36 year old Farrior
According to a team source, the Steelers have prepared Lawrence Timmons to play inside and left outside linebacker this Sunday vs the Bengals. The team figures to start Jason Worilds at LOLB but indications are Timmons might move over to LOLB in certain packages with Farrior and Foote playing together inside
Ruled out for this Sunday is LaMarr Woodley, Arnaz Battle and Emmanuel Sanders
Wide receivers Hines Ward and Jerricho Cotchery are expected to play.
