Insider Only Steelers Friday Injury Buzz: Pouncey won’t play, Moore among those ruled out

Latest Injury Buzz
Pro bowl center Maurkice Pouncey did not practice today and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Pouncey though will not play and Doug Legursky will get the start at center, while Chris Kemoeatu starts at left guard. The Steelers alternated Kemoeatu and Trai Essex in Sunday’s game but it’s unlikely that happens much vs the Broncos due to the team being very thin at center and Legursky just returning from a shoulder injury.

— Safety Troy Polamalu returned to practice and will play on Sunday. Polamalu is officially listed as probable along with James Harrison, Brett Keisel, Doug Legursky, Jonathan Scott and LaMarr Woodley. All of the mentioned players will be in the lineup.
Ben Roethlisberger got through another practice and is ready to go for Sunday. Ruled out for Sunday includes Mewelde Moore, and Cortez Allen. Isaac Redman will get the bulk of work at running back with John Clay as the primary backup and Chad Spann the No. 3 running back.
— Today is a sad day for the Steelers organization as running backs coach Kirby Wilson was severely burned in a fire at his home early this morning. Wilson suffered severe burns and his condition is unknown…. our thoughts and prayers go out to him
