Troy Polamalu and Heath Miller are officially out for today’s game against the New York Jets. Both players are among the Steelers inactives.
The rest of the Steelers inactives are QB Charlie Batch (3rd), Keenan Lewis, Jonathan Dwyer, Aaron Smith, Steve McLendon and Chris Scott.
Polamalu who did not practice all week, is expected to be shutdown for the rest of the regular season.
Miller had a setback this week from a concussion as the team came into the week with expectations that Miller would be able to play.
Matt Spaeth will make his second straight start at tight end.
Ryan Mundy will make his first start of the season at safety. Will Allen will also see time in the secondary today at safety.
