Joe Haden is a Pittsburgh Steeler.
The Steelers, Haden have agreed to a three year deal worth $27 million.
Haden, 28, last made the pro bowl in 2014 and has battled some injuries since 2015.
Haden missed 11 games in 2015 with a finger injury and a concussion. In 2016 he missed three games due to a groin injury.
Whether Haden can bounce back to a pro bowl level remains to be seen but the Steelers had to make a move like this and delivered with the signing in adding a starter opposite Artie Burns who immediately becomes their best corner.

Their secondary has been an issue since before Polamalu left. I would say it started 3 years before Troy left when he missed more than half the season and then was a shell of his former self the next 2 years. I put a start date at 2012 not 2015.

On average, he’s the 18th highest paid cb. Only really guaranteed 7, which puts him down about 25. There’s not 25 better cb’s out there. Rooney and the Steelers making calls about Trumaine Johnson and making this signing prove they are going for it while they still have Ben.

Yeah – but all the Steelers (and the fans) need to be concerned about is the fact that there weren’t ANY better corners “out there” that were available. So, you have to take the apple that falls off the tree. They weren’t going to do better than this without paying through the nose via a trade. I think they did quite well. If he stays healthy and looks anything like he did a couple years ago, this will be an awesome signing. Our defense actually has the potential to be really good. Hopefully Watt can help the pass rush which has been lackluster in recent years and with Haden back there, our secondary well actually look like it belongs in the NFL.
