In a bold move, the Pittsburgh Steelers have traded up to the No. 10 pick and selected Michigan linebacker Devin Bush.[hide]
The price was costly but this is a draft where if you wanted a true impact player, you had to get into the top-10.
By moving up to 10th selection, the Steelers will send the 20th pick, 52nd pick, and a 2020 3rd rounder to Denver.
The Steelers get a dynamic inside linebacker in Bush, who combines great on-field production with elite speed, running a 4.4. For a team that badly lacked side to side speed from their linebacking group in 2018, there just wasn’t a better fit than Bush landing with the Steelers who is a great off-ball blitzer and a reckoning force in producing splash.
“Pound for pound best player in the draft,” ESPN’s Louis Riddick said on the telecast.

Would love to see them trade somebody plus picks and get back into the 2nd round.
I know Greedy can’t tackle, but his coverage skills are off the charts. If they can’t get into 2, I really like Julain Love/Lonnie Johnson at cb also.
Thornhill and Thompson are players I love at Safety that should fall to rd 3.
OLB is weak.
Kelvin Harmon, Riley Ridley, Hakeem Butler, Miles Boykin at wr. How far to these guys drop? Paris Campbell is a dynamic athlete that can return kicks, but smaller.
DePaoli, Be honest. If the Steelers didn’t trade up in a reckoning force in producing splash would you have even written a story about the pick at number 20
i would have preferred a dk style “come clean,” but this is still a pretty damn good statement
Now, Id like to see a FS and RB with return ability.
DePaoli, congrats on waking up in time for the draft and what the hell does “a reckoning force in producing splash” mean exactly. I’m not sure I liked the pick but I like and respect what the Steelers did.
So much better than the mediocre talent at 20. Love the pick.
Great trade.
Get a CB and a WR tomorrow.
We’ve got bush, we’ve got bush!
Great move. Was totally worth it.
Great. Fucklng. Pick.
