The Pittsburgh Steelers announced today that the team has signed cornerback Trae Williams to their 53-man roster. Williams, 24, a 5th round pick in 2008 by the Jacksonville Jaguars, was signed off of the Seattle Seahawks practice squad.
Williams, 5-10, 195 lbs, attended the University of South Florida where he was an all-Big East defensive back.
To make room for Williams, the Steelers placed cornerback Keenan Lewis on injured reserve.
Lewis, 23, a 3rd round pick out of Oregon State saw limited action this season.
