The Pittsburgh Steelers have released linebacker James Farrior, according to agent Ralph Cindrich.
Farrior, 37, was due to make $2.85 million in 2012 and was no longer regarded as an everyday player. The 15 year veteran spent 10 seasons with the Steelers.
Farrior last season had 78 tackles and had 100+ tackles in 6 of 10 seasons with Steelers.
While Farrior can still play a bit, there’s no denying he’s a player on the downside of his career who’s 37 years old. Not a good combination.
