Thanks D. I lost track of him throughout the year. I know he started on the practice squad, I didn't hear anything about him going anywhere else.

czech was hitting near 60 yard field goals in training camp...so he has a leg...how it works during game time im not sure

Right Psu, training camp is one thing, kicking a 40+ yarder in Heinz field in December in 3inches of snow is a little tougher. Like the leg strength though.

How many games would the Steelers lose without Reed's leg? We dont' have the O yet to build a lead that is comfortable enough to not have a realiable kicker...but the way Ben talks, he sounds like our O is outta this world!

I have a feeling Reed rejecting the contract offer, getting busted drunk (again), and kicking like a high school kid on kickoffs might have run its course with management. Kris Brown total points was similar in his last year (124 to 122), but his percentage was terrible (68% to 87%). I just can't see them "overpaying" in their eyes. Another question mark for next season.
