The Pittsburgh Steelers have been engaged in preliminary talks with Jordan Woy the agent for veteran tackle Jonathan Scott.
Scott who started 11 games this past season is seeking a two year deal.
The Steelers reached out to Scott more than a week ago expressing interest in retaining Scott who could be the Steelers starting right tackle next season with Flozell Adams contemplating retirement and Willie Colon's future in Pittsburgh very much in doubt.
I caught up with Willie's Colon's agent Joe Linta today who two weeks ago told me that the Steelers have never called about Willie.
With top Steelers officials Kevin Colbert and Omar Khan in Indianapolis as is Linta, it would only be normal for the two sides to discuss Willie's future with the Steelers this week.
According to Linta that hasn't happened at any point over the past year and no meetings are scheduled between the two sides at the combine.
"They have not called Willie or myself, " Linta told Inside Pittsburgh Sports on Thursday afternoon.
