Draft Buzz: White on the Steelers radar?

Adding a running back, most notably a power back is somewhat of a priority for the Steelers in the upcoming draft but going running back in the first three rounds is believed to be unlikely as the Steelers have other immediate needs.
The team is believed to have strong interest in Oregon’s LaGarrette Blount and Anthony Dixon of Mississippi St.
Dixon, (6-1, 235lbs) rushed for 1,391 and 12 touchdowns in 2009 but is getting strong interest from teams as a potential 2nd round-early third round target.
Meanwhile, Blount went into the 2009 season as a potential second round pick but character concerns and a sucker punch to a Boise State player has plummeted his value.
He’s a player that some feel could fall to the 5th or 6th round based on character concerns but could go as high as the 3rd round after performing well in workouts.
Talent wise, he’s a 2nd-3rd round prospect.
One team source indicates that one option the Steelers may explore is making a play for Tennessee Titans running back Lendale White.
Steelers GM Kevin Colbert is believed to be very high on White and was at the top of the Steelers draft radar in 2006, prior to the Steelers moving up to select Santonio Holmes.
The Titans are going into the week listening to offers for White who is looking for more opportunities to run the ball.
One league source said with such a deep draft, the Titans would move White for at least a 4th-5th round pick.
The Steelers have four 5th round picks and will be active in rounds 3-through-5.
White had 15 touchdowns in 2008 but saw limited playing time in 2009 rushing for 222 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Mewelde Moore is the Steelers primary backup behind Rashard Mendenhall who established himself as a 3-down back last season and took over Moore’s role as the 3rd down back late in the season.
