Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin delivered a message to Rashard Mendenhall last week after Mendenhall was not up to par on his assignments during the week.
Mendenhall did not take an offensive snap against the Cincinnati Bengals as Tomlin decided not to play him.
This week against San Diego look for Mendenhall to see an increased role.
Starting running back Willie Parker missed today's practice and will likely be limited the rest of the week. Parker expects to play Sunday night against San Diego but he won't be 100%.

*Carey Davis practiced after signing with the team yesterday. It is expected that Davis will be active on Sunday.
