• Mike Tomlin is laying down the law in Steeler country and there are indications that he is in the process of winning over the team he inherited from Bill Cowher earlier this year, but Pro footballtalk is reporting Tomlin still has a long way to go before he’s viewed as being firmly in control. ProfootballTalk.com is reporting that most if not all of the Steelers veteran players believe that Pro Bowl guard Alan Faneca is getting a raw deal in the pay department from the team.
  • My take: This should not come to any ones surprise that vets such as Hines Ward are coming to the defense of Alan Faneca. What did these guys expect, the Steelers to break the bank for a aging offensive guard who showed signs of slowing down last season. The front office has bigger issues than Faneca, such as signing Troy Polamalu to a long term extension. The Steelers vets should worry more about their selves before they are shipped out of town. Does Joey Porter ring a bell?
