The commitments continue to roll in for Pitt. This afternoon they received their 11th verbal commitment when Sto-Rox wide receiver Andrew Carswell informed Pitt he wanted to join the Panthers. This is Pitt’s 8th commitment in the last week.
The 6′-4″, 210 pound receiver had offers from Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Stanford, Wisconsin, Boston College and Maryland.
The 2 biggest reasons for the commitment were the coaching staff and location for his family to watch him play.
As a junior in 2008, Carswell caught 40 passes for 600 yards and 6 touchdowns on offense and recorded 56 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 2 fumble recoveries on defense.
Carswell is a 3-star recruit according to Rivals.com.
Carswell is Pitt’s 11th commitment in the class of 2010 and the eighth recruit to commit to Pitt in the last week.
