Source: 3 years not being ruled out for Talbot
The Penguins are just in the "preliminary stages" of formulating a plan to attack their large group of free agents, holding brief discussions over the weekend, but some buzz coming out of Penguin circles is that Max Talbot, the youngest of the Penguins group of unrestricted free agents, is emerging as a priority from the Penguins brass.
Longtime Penguin beat writer Dave Molinari of the Post-Gazette further hints of that writing, "an individual with knowledge of the situation professed this afternoon to be "pretty certain" that such talks { with Talbot} will get going "shortly."
However, whether Talbot's emerging as a priority hasn't been made known to Talbot's reps at CAA sports as they haven't heard from the Penguins yet but do expect to talk in the coming weeks.
