The injury bug continues to hit the Steelers as Troy Polamalu did suffer a concussion yesterday. Polamalu has suffered concussions in the past and Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will address Polamalu‚Äôs status for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants at Tuesday‚Äôs press conference. Cornerback Bryant McFadden is under-going tests today and to see if he has a broken arm. McFadden has been the Steelers top cornerback this season and has flourished since being implemented into the starting lineup. Losing Polamalu and McFadden would be major blow to the Steelers secondary. McFadden has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Giants and the Steelers will sign a corner if McFadden is out for a significant period
James Harrison is tied with Joey Porter for second in the league with 8.5 sacks. Porter who sat out most of training camp with a back injury is having a monster season and has proved his critics wrong who said he was on the down side of his career
LaMarr Woodley appears to be the steal of the 2007 draft. Woodley is in the top 5 in the league with 7.5 sacks
Max Starks played very well against the Bengals and we will likely see him again as the team’s starting left tackle. Marvel Smith is being regarded as week to week due to his back problems.
It’s a shame that Keith Rivers season is over. Rivers was the one bright spot for the Bengals this season. Ward’s hit was clean but he will likely hear from the league once again.
