Down 3-1 going into the third the Penguins rallied with Ryan Malone (5) scoring at 4:08 in the third period then Sidney Crosby (17) sent the game to overtime scoring with15.6 seconds left in the third period. The Penguins controlled the play for the better part of the third period and overtime but Slava Koslov and Marian Hossa each connected on their two chances in the shootout while Christensen and Crosby were denied. Jordan Staal continued his strong play of late scoring his 10th goal of the year shorthanded in the second period. Michel Therrien made a few minor lineup changes scratching Chris Thorburn and Michel Ouellet. Jocelyn Thibault got the start in goal making 29 saves on 32 shots and he was okay between the pipes. The Pens are off until the 26th when they face off against the New Jersey Devils.

On happier note, congratulations to Mario Lemieux for being voted in on http://www.espn.com/ for the Best line of All time. Lemieux was joined by Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe

From our 6 contributors The Buzzontheburgh’s Top 4 lines of Alltime are as follows
Lw C Rw
Lemieux – Gretzky – Crosby
Bobby Hull – Messier – Richard
Ovechkin – Fedorov – Jagr
Howe – Yzerman – Bossy

Reasons
1st line: Lemieux and Gretzky are obvious choices but coming up with the perfect compliment for these two was a tough one. Crosby was the final choice. His play making ability and ability to do the dirty work in the corners makes him the ideal fit between the two most gifted players to ever play the game.

2nd line: Messier in his prime could distribute and score at a rate many in the history of the game never will. Centering two snipers in Richard and Hull plus the physical game of Messier is the making of a second line that can score and grind it out

3rd line: Hard to put two players on the best lines of All time who have less than 2 NHL seasons on their resumes but Ovechkin and Crosby get the nod. Ovechkin and Jagr together would a dynamic duo that Pronger and Neidemeyer couldn’t even contain. Fedorov is the surprise pick. In his prime Fedorov was the best 2 way player in the past 20 years. He gets the nod over Ron Francis because of his two way play and size advantage. Our third line would take on other teams 2nd units with Fedorov controlling the d-zone while Jagr and Ovechkin take over in the offensive zone.

4th line. Yzerman – Howe – Bossy would be a line that can would give you the Gordie Howe Hat Trick on a nightly basis. A unit that could put the puck in the net, play physical and contain other teams top players.

Ownership Rumors
Mario Lemieux came out today and said the Penguins are off the market and will look into possible relocation. KDKA is reporting tonight that Mark Cuban is putting together his own ownership group. More on this when details become available.
