Starting inside linebacker Lawrence Timmons (ankle) will not play in the Steelers preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers.
Timmons who is nursing a sore ankle, has a walking boot and will not practice the rest of the week.
Timmons was at the South Side Complex this morning getting treatment.
It also remains to be seen if Timmons will be available for the Steelers season opener on September 10th.
Keyaron Fox will start in place of Timmons on Thursday. Fox will replace Timmons on the first team in practice this afternoon which begins at 1:00 p.m.
