Insider Only NHL: Wednesday’s Rumor Mill

The LA Kings have signed forward Patrick O’Sullivan to a three year deal. O’Sullivan missed all of training camp due to his high demands but in recent days the two sides made progress in negotiations. Last season, O’Sullivan scored 22 goals and added 31 assists for 53 points.
The Carolina Hurricanes have made plays for Glen Murray and Mark Parrish over the course of the summer. Thus far they have come up empty. In the market for a top 6 winger the Canes may now make a pitch for Brendan Shanahan. Shanahan who continues to wait on the Rangers has drawn interest from the Washington Capitals, St. Louis Blues, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins.
McLaren drawing interest from five teams
The agent for Kyle Mclaren has had talks with the Tampa Bay Lighting, St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers. According to a source there are believed to be two others team to express interest as of late last night. Both in the Eastern Conference
