Tomas Vokoun makes 23 saves on 25 shots in first AHL game since 1998

  • Tomas Vokoun saw his first game action of the season tonight in Wilkes Barre and all indications are he played well. Vokoun making the start vs Syracuse, made 23 saves on 25 shots and was 4-for-4 in the shootout as Wilkes Barre beat Syracuse 3-2. It was Vokoun’s first AHL game since 1998. The plan has been for Vokoun to make two starts in Wilkes Barre. Penguins officials had a close eye on tonight’s game.
