The Latest Steelers Buzz
*Ben Roethlisberger sustained a mild concussion on Sunday and Monday morning the Steelers brought him in for a number of tests. Roethlisberger is fine and passed all of the tests. Give that information, Tomlin anticipates Roethlisberger to practice on Wednesday and play against the Ravens.
*Backup QB Charlie Batch (wrist) will have surgery Wednesday morning. Batch will have a plate inserted into his wrist. Tomlin claims that Batch will be sidelined for at least 2-4 weeks. The Steelers are waiting to gather further information after Batch has the surgery.
At this point the Steelers plan to go with two active quarterbacks on game days, with Dennis Dixon as the primary backup. Regardless of any moves the Steelers make at the quarterback position, Dennis Dixon is the teams No. 2 quarterback. The Steelers are expected to sign a practice squad eligible quarterback for the time being.
Although the Steelers received some good news on Roethlisberger, all news on the injury front is not good for the Steelers.
