• Top prospect Tyler Glasnow needed just seven pitches to retire the side in his spring training debut today vs the New York Yankees. Glasnow entered the game in the sixth inning, throwing seven pitches, all strikes. He struck out two while allowing no hits. Glasnow struck out Jose Pirela on three pitches (all swing and misses) followed by striking out Kyle Roller on three pitches (all called strikes) and than got Rob Refsnyder to fly out to center on one pitch. Pirela hit .305 in the Triple-A last season and appeared in 16 games with the Yankees, hitting .375. Roller hit .283 with 17 home runs in Triple-A last season. Glasnow wasn’t pitching against Single-A talent by any means.
