With the Pirates having an off-day today and beginning a six game homestand Tuesday night, the Pedro Alvarez watch has begun.
Alvarez (.285 - 13HR - 52 RBI) who is batting .417 in his last 10 games, is scheduled to play tonight for Indianapolis, according to official lineups that were released about 30 minutes ago.
Alvarez will bat 4th and start at third base.
