It is being speculated that the Nashville Predators are among two teams that have talked to the Lightning about 2008 1st overall pick Steven Stamkos
Blues forward Keith Tkachuk is the Bruins top target at the trade deadline.
Expect to hear a lot of Brian Gionta rumors throughout the next month. The Devils are a dangerous team in the East and they remain in the market for a top four defenseman.
Boston Chicago, Pittsburgh, New York Rangers and Washington are among five teams that are on Bill Guerin’s wish list. Guerin has a NTC and will take advantage of that.
Flames not pursuing Gerber: The Calgary Flames are expected to pass on Ottawa Senators goaltender Martin Gerber who was placed on waivers. Head coach Brett Suter tells the Calgary Sun, “We signed Curtis McElhinney to a one-way contract because he’s an NHL goalie. And he’s our goalie,” Sutter said in the statement.
The Penguins are looking to add toughness and have
Interest in Senators forward Chris Neil. Neil and Guerin were two names being linked to the Penguins over All-Star weekend. Senators GM Bryan Murray is believed to be looking for a young roster player in return.

As i mentioned last week there is no deal in place to bring back Adam Hall
Some outsiders were speculating that the Penguins were recently scouting Blue Jackets forward Mike Peca when the Penguins had two scouts at a recent Blue Jackets game. Team officials have not confirmed the Penguins were scouting Peca.
A third line center the Penguins really like is Steve Reinprecht from Phoenix but I can’t see them prying him away from Phoenix.
The Penguins are open to moving Hal Gill, Philippe Boucher and Mark Eaton. Rob Scuderi is not being shopped. Gill has the most value around the league but Gill has become a leader in the locker room and management would obviously want to move Boucher and Eaton over Gill.
