Wallace’s 33 receiving first downs lowest since rookie year

Has Todd Haley made one of the games best deep threats into a possession receiver?. Some will say yes. Mike Wallace has posted a meager 13.1 yards per catch in 2012, significantly lower than his career high of 21.0 YPC in 2010 and 19.6 YPC in 2009. Another area that has seen a significant decline for Wallace is receiving first downs. Wallace has been targeted a career high 119 times in 15 games and he has just 33 receiving first downs. In 2011, Wallace had a career high 54 receiving first downs on 113 targets. In 2010 when Wallace posted a career high 1,257 receiving yards, he had 48 first downs on 100 targets.
