Chris Stewart (.267 - 0 HR - 6 RBI) continues to play very well this season in a backup role and gives the Pirates a stronger defensive option than Francisco Cervelli. That was on all display tonight. Stewart went 2-3 with an RBI double in the Pirates 4-1 win over the Mets and kept the Mets runners on the base paths in check, throwing out Eric Campbell on a steal opportunity to 2nd base in the first inning and Stewart also threw out Daniel Murphy trying to steal in the second inning. A weakness for Gerrit Cole is trying to hold runners and the Mets failed to capitalize with Stewart behind the plate.

"Time will tell," Clint Hurdle told reporters Tuesday night in regards to whether this is a start of Harrison breaking out. "I'm just gonna watch him play, give him more games and at-bats. I believe he'll find it, and be the guy we've seen."
