William "Boots"DelBiaggio to buy Nashville Predators

Canadian Billionarie Jim Basillie has failed for the second time in 6 months to successfully a NHL team according to the National Post. Predators owner Craig Leopold has informed Basillies representatives he will not be selling the team to him. Everyone knows what happened in Pittsburgh regarding Basillie but its becoming obvious this guy is a scum bag. Basillie had the Predators in his back pocket but his ego got in the way and he had his representatives talking to Hamilton before the team was even bought. I have been told from a person who was in negotiations with the Penguins when they were dealing with Jim Basillie that Basillie is a businessman who thinks he can get away with anything.

Now 2 years later since trying to buy the Pittsburgh Penguins L.A based businessman William DelBiaggio has finally landed his franchise. According to the National Post the Preds owner will be selling to DelBiaggio and it is expected he will move the team to Kansas City. DelBiaggio’s bid is believed to be 190 million US. Right before the Penguins won the Sidney Crosby sweepstakes, Boots DelBiaggio was days away from buying the franchise before Mario took the team off the market. Sidney Crosby really did save this franchise because if the Penguins were sold to either one of these guys the franchise would indeed be in Kansas City or Hamilton.
