Wednesday’s CBA Buzz The NHL and NHLPA are slowly inching closer to a deal but I’m like a lot of people now, It’s reached the ridiculous stages and I could care less about these final negotiations (bickering about pension issues, ect) as I’m fully confident we are going to see a deal reached at the 11th hour……Just tell me when training camps open and I can start covering the NHL again. Prospect Buzz: Seymour chipping in offensively to open the season

 

SATURDAY’S PROSPECT ROUNDUP Defenseman Derrick Pouliot opened the scoring for the Portland Winterhawks at 16:45 of the first period, en route to a 6-2 Winterhawks win vs Seattle on Saturday night. The Penguins top pick in the 2012 draft, was also a +3 in the win. — Coming off his first win of the season Friday night, goaltender Matt Murray got the start again Saturday night for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds vs Windsor Spitfires. Murray made 37 saves on 40 shots, taking the loss in a 3-2 defeat. Murray is 1-1 on the season with a 4.03 GAA and .902 save percentage. — Defenseman Clark Seymour the Penguins 2012 5th round pick is known as a denter on the blueline and not a points producer, but Seymour has been chipping in offensively to open the season.
