Trade Analysis: Coyotes trade for CBJ Antoine Vermette

Coyotes add Vermette The Phoenix Coyotes have acquired forward Antoine Vermette from the Columbus Blue Jackets, in exchange for a 2012 2nd round pick, 2013 5th round pick and goaltender Curtis McElhinney, Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports. The Coyotes (30-21-9, 69 pts) who are surging in the standings with an 8-1-1 record in their last 10 games, make a move for now and the future. Vermette, 29, has three years remaining on his contract with a cap hit of $3.75 million per season.
