Marian Gaborik tops the list as the New York Rangers are shopping the star winger for a top flight center, NHL sources say. Sources indicate GM Glen Sather remains infatuated with trying to acquire Sharks center Joe Thornton but the buzz is this type of deal would be more likely to happen during the summer than before the trade deadline. The New York Rangers continue to show a strong interest in Stars center Brad Richards but the two sides are not close on a deal. The two sides have agreed on Brandon Dubinsky being involved but there’s a major snag in the trade talks. The Rangers are trying to move Michal Rozsival in any deal for Richards.
