 Derrick Pouliot was second among Penguins defenseman with 24:07 of ice time vs the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. Pouliot logged 5:09 of ice time on the power play and flashed his potential as a natural pointman on the power play.  Minus a giveaway on Ben Smith’s shorthanded goal, Pouliot had a relatively effective game with a power play goal and 2 takeaways.

The Penguins top pick in the 2012 draft, was also a +3 in the win. — Coming off his first win of the season Friday night, goaltender Matt Murray got the start again Saturday night for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds vs Windsor Spitfires. Murray made 37 saves on 40 shots, taking the loss in a 3-2 defeat.
