The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed wide receiver Joey Galloway, the team confirmed this afternoon. Galloway, 38, visited the Steelers in the off-season prior to signing with New England and will replace Limas Sweed on the active roster. Galloway (7 receptions) struggled with the New England Patriots this season and was released at mid-season. As expected the Steelers have signed long snapper Jared Retkofsky to replace Greg Warren on the active roster. The Steelers have brought in their first potential target to replace wide receiver Nate Washington. The team is hosting Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Joey Galloway at the South Side facility this afternoon. Galloway, 37, was bothered by injuries last season and only had 13 catches, 138 yards and no touchdowns in nine games. Galloway has 6 career 1,000 yard seasons including three straight 1,000 yard seasons from 2005-2007.
