The Penguins just wrapped up their morning practice at Mellon Arena which began around 10:30 a.m. Very interesting line changes in today’s practice Miroslav Satan skated with Evgeni Malkin and Petr Sykora on the second line, alternating with Ruslan Fedotenko. Satan, Fedotenko and Sykora alternated on Malkin’s wing throughout the practice. Yesterday, Satan was on the annual 5th playoff line and even took a shift or two on D as a fill in. The Penguins went through their first practice of the playoff season this morning at 10:30 a.m. as the team prepares to take on the Philadelphia Flyers Wednesday night in the first round of the playoffs. The teams primary goal was to claim the 4th seed but going into the weekend with Philadelphia having two games in hand, and Carolina owning a tiebreaker, the players were not very optimistic and were expecting to start the playoffs on the road. Great turnout from Penguins fans last night in Columbus. The place was electric when the Penguins tied the game at 3-3 late in the third period. Thanks to the traveling Penguins fans, the BlueJackets set a record for attendance with over 19,000 fans in attendance. The Penguins have 10 come from behind wins this season when trailing in the third period and after being down 3-0 to Columbus, the Penguins were fortunate to get a point out of last night‚Äôs game. The Pittsburgh Penguins and Miroslav Satan have reached an agreement. Satan will report to Wilkes Barre.
