Four Penn State players were not permitted to practice on Tuesday. The 4 players were Maurice Evans, A.J. Wallace, Andrew Quarless and Abe Koroma. The incident was first reported by the philadelphia inquirer. It is very likely that the team will dismiss tight end Andrew Quarless who has been involved in two other incidents.

Pitt basketball schedule released


Pitt released the men’s basketball schedule today. Pitt goes into the 2008-09 season with high expectations. Early indications are Pitt will be ranked #9 in the preseason polls. Penn State hopes to land their 17th commitment of the 2009 class this weekend when receiver Devon Smith 5ft7 – 150lb (Waldorf, Maryland) visits Penn State on Saturday. College Football Quick Hits


If you missed Illinois-Missouri then, to steal a line, shame on you for six weeks. This game matched up two exceptional quarterbacks in Juice Williams and Chase Daniels who combined for 774 passing yards. Now don’t get me wrong, the defenses were a little suspect but Illinois showed that they can make some noise in the Big Ten this year Congratulations to both teams for scheduling what looked like a New Year’s Day matchup. VA Tech and Pittsburgh turned in two horrific offensive displays. We pretty much know what happened at Heinz Field (was that Ron Erhardt coaching the offense?) but something just as bad happened in Charlotte. In front of a predominantly maroon and orange crowd, VA Tech’s offense could not capitalize on numerous chances their defense gave them. Special Teams Field Goals: 1. Connor Lee 1 ‚Äì 4 2. Dan Hutchins 2 ‚Äì 3 3. Kevin Harper 1 – 1 I was told tonight Kevin Harper kicked a 63 yard field goal in high school and holds the record for the longest field goal in Ohio histor.All three kickers were solid on kickoffs and on average their kicks reached the 10 yard line. LaRod Stephens ‚Äì Howling and Aundre Wright remain the teams #1 kick returners Chris Burns was the primary kick returner with the second team 7 on 7‚Äôs The 7 on 7‚Äôs saw a lot of checkdowns from Bill Stull, Pat Bostick and Kevan Smith.Stull didn‚Äôt have a great practice.
