NCAA: 2011 Pitt recruits in waiting mode to see which assistant coaches will return
At least on paper, former Pitt head coach Dave Wannstedt helped deliver one of Pitt’s best recruiting classes but with the sudden coaching change, Pitt projects to lose several of their top recruits if the university doesn’t hire an in-house candidate. Offensive coordinator and interim coach Frank Cignetti is said to be a candidate for the job but top recruits are now in waiting mode as they see which assistant coaches if any will be returning.
