Pittsburgh beats Jokerit 4 – 1

The Penguins had their final preseason game today in Finland. Sidney Crosby led the way with 3 assists. Crosby set up first period goals by Evgeni Malkin and Ruslan Fedotenko. Tyler Kennedy scored the Penguins third goal to put the Penguins up 3-1. Crosby assisted on Pascal Dupuis first goal of the preseason that put the Penguins up 4-1. NHL: Gonchar out 4-6 months?

ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun reports a source has told him Sergei Gonchar will be sidelined 4-6 months. The Penguins announced last week that Gonchar would be out indefinitely with the prognosis ranging from 6 weeks to 6 months if Gonchar needed surgery. No official word from the Penguins yet.
