Bylsma Tidbits
Some notes from Dan Bylsma’s media conference today:
*Bylsma said today that if Mike Comrie gets back into the lineup tonight (center 2nd line in morning skate), Comrie needs to improve his game in the puck battle areas at both ends of the ice.
He was not happy about his play in those areas and he said that he talked to Mike about it the other day.

*Bylsma said today that the penalty kill has a big factor on who dresses or not. Therefore, players with the ability to contribute on penalty kill have an edge over others who don’t as the Penguins are shorthanded right now without Jordan Staal and Zbynek Michalek.
An interesting note is that Bylsma said line chemistry has little or no factor on who dresses or not as he even admitted that he changes the lines too much for line chemistry to be a factor.
*Paul Martin said after Wednesday’s game that the team had a bad morning skate on Wednesday and that attributed to their slow start in the 1st period against Toronto.
Bylsma said it was already a known problem inside the dressing room and he felt on Wednesday that they did in fact have a poor skate and it was addressed with the team.
