Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Marc Andre Fleury will miss tonight’s game against the Vancouver Canucks. Fleury will be sidelined with a fractured left finger. John Curry will make his first start of the season for Pittsburgh.
The Penguins have signed goaltender Alexander Pechurski from Tri-City of the Western Hockey League to a one-game amateur try out. Pechurski will serve as Curry’s backup tonight.
Pechurski, who was drafted by Pittsburgh in the fifth round (150th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, will return to Tri-City following the Penguins’ game against the Vancouver Canucks.
