In an expected development, Defensemen Brian Dumoulin and Kris Letang are absent from Monday’s practice as the Penguins took the ice just after 1:00 p.m. Dumoulin has been diagnosed with a concussion, while Letang has been undergoing tests after what’s being described for now as a “stinger” to his neck.

Forward Teddy Blueger a healthy scratch of late is also not practicing. Blueger is being re-assigned to Wilkes Barre so he can be eligible for the AHL playoffs. Blueger had 3 goals and 1 assist in nine NHL games. Whether he will have a role at the NHL level past the trade remains to be seen but the team prefers for him to play a big role in the minors.
