The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced the signing of first baseman/outfielder John Jaso to a two year contract.

Jaso, 32, hit .286 (53-for-185) and produced an .839 OPS in 70 games with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2015. He missed the first three months of the season after suffering a left wrist injury on Opening Day (4/6). After returning to action on July 7, Jaso led the Rays with a .377 on-base percentage over the last three months and hit .321 (17-for-53) in his final 22 games.
