The Pittsburgh Steelers are bracing for running back Le’Veon Bell to report back to the team on Monday, August 28th, TIOPS has learned.
Bell has told teammates he plans to return to the Pittsburgh area over the weekend and sign his franchise tender on Monday. Bell’s teammates have pushed for Bell to report this week in preparations of Saturday’s dress rehearsal but Bell has stuck to his plan not to report until after the third preseason game.
Bell who will play this season on a franchise tender, turned down a 5 year, $62.5 million contract from the Steelers in July.
Ed Bouchette of the Post-Gazette reports Bell nixed the deal that his agent had agreed to with the Steelers.
