Insider Only Darkhorse name to watch for Steelers at No. 15

Tight end Tyler Eifert garnered serious consideration from the Steelers last season with the No. 17 pick and likely would have been the Steelers selection if Jarvis Jones went off the board, according to multiple team sources.
A year later, could the Steelers go tight end in round 1 this time around?

The five names everyone’s focus is on right now includes Texas A&M WR Mike Evans, Florida State WR Kelvin Benjamin, NT Notre Dame’s Louis Nix, and cornerbacks Darqueze Dennard, Michigan State, Justin Gilbert, Oklahoma State.
There are three to four prospects flying under the radar, at least under the media’s radar.
North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron tops the list, The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Ebron is a dynamic talent who some teams are said to have a top-10 value on. Ebron has great athleticism and explosiveness, giving him the potential to be a big play tight end at the next level, and matchup problems for linebackers in the open field. He fits the profile of the new wave of tight ends.
With all of the focus on adding a tall wide receiver, the best value could came at tight end with Ebron as Mike Evans is fully expected to be off the board by No. 15 and most evaluators feel No. 15 is way too high for Kelvin Benjamin.
Heath Miller turns 32 in October. It’s not too early to look into a long-term replacement for him and team a legitimate pass catching tight end next to him.
