Jarko Ruutu has seen his even strength ice time diminsh lately and tonight will be no difference. His Penalty killing play has been up to par but his even strength play hasn’t been. Ruutu brings lots of energy and grit but that energy is done in spirts. A big reason why the Canucks decided not to make a effort to resign him during the summer. Ekman not Ouellet will be playing on the second line to provide some speed on the wings for Staal.
