Mike Yeo remains hospitalized; Whitney named alternate for Team USA
Yeo remains hospitalized Pittsburgh Penguins assistant coach Mike Yeo remains in a Florida Hospital. Yeo was due to under-go another round of tests this morning. Penguins are hopeful he will be released in the next couple days. Best wishes to Yeo on his recovery — Ryan Whitney named alternate Former Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Ryan Whitney has been informed that he is the top alternate on defense for Team USA. Team USA selected LA Kings defenseman Jack Johnson over Whitney for the final defenseman spot. Brian Burke has indicated that keeping Whitney off the team was very difficult. Former Penguins defenseman Rob Scuderi was not named an alternate.
