SUNDAY’S OLYMPIC BUZZ Team USA rolled to a 5-1 win over Slovenia, clinching first place in Group A and earning eight out of a possible nine points in the preliminary round. The Americans have earned a bye. Phil Kessel led the way with a hat trick, producing the first hat trick by a U.S. player since John LeClair in the 2002 Olympics. Crosby scores game winner in Over Time, Canada wins Gold medal

Canada wins Gold Medal on Crosby’s OT winner *Sidney Crosby’s storied career just took another turn towards greatness scoring the game winning goal in overtime as Canada defeated the United States 3-2 to claim the Gold medal. Crosby who was quiet for much of the game, beat Ryan Miller under the pads from the low left circle to give Canada their coveted Gold medal.
